even though the Dead played in small venues, they did have some huge attendance shows, i.e Woodstock, Watkins Glen and Englishtown all had in excess of 75,000...

Wasn't Watkins Glen the largest music festival in the United States ever with something like 600,000 people showing up?

I started in 79 with Hampton and I believe we could get tickets the night of the concert for serveral years after that. Saw them in the Gym at Morgantown and Charlottesville VA couldn't have been more than 5G. Mosque must have been nice as well as Fox.
